Acay Cushion

Every Andes cushion is a unique masterpiece, meticulously crafted by a small community located in remote Argentina. The methods used in producing Andes' cushions encompass numerous stages deeply rooted in Argentine heritage. From wool combing and washing, to the art of spinning, Pom Pom crafting, and the intricate weaving of the cushions. Each phase is made with love and dedication.
These circular cushions are woven by artisans using a circular loom, while the square cushions are meticulously created through a weaving technique that intertwines yarns in a cross pattern.

• The Andes process:
• In the vast, open plains of the Pampas in Argentina, sheep graze freely in their herds. The wool used for Andes' cushions is directly sourced from local shepherd families at fair prices. The shearing process is carried out manually, and it's important to note that Andes never engage in the practice of mulesing.
